Colour isn’t just a trend-led process; it’s a technical speciality which requires years of training and constant education.
What is a COLOUR MASTER?
Salon manager ‘Jodie’
A colour master is a stylist with the highest level of colour expertise which requires 5-7 years previous colour proficiency and training.
Colour Masters have a clear understanding of the chemistry of hair, hair structure, consultation & formulation, colour application, colour correction and creativity.
Jodie has been a member of Team Caprio’s for 19 years which means she was the obvious choice to be selected as our Matrix Colour Master. Due to the intensity, the course is delivered in bite-size portions over a three month period. Jodie has been juggling her duties of Motherhood, Salon Manager and Stylists to commute backwards and forwards to the L’Oreal Academy in Manchester’s city centre. In between all this, she’s had homework to carry out in preparation for her next visit to the academy. I’m delighted to say she passed with flying colours enjoying every minute and creating some great colour combinations along the way. Her knowledge will now gradually be fed back to team Caprio’s so each of the stylists has a more in-depth understanding of how to achieve the best colour results possible. It’s all very well being creative but to be a great colour salon its team has to have the knowledge and confidence to be able to produce fabulous colour results.
A salon with a COLOUR MASTER within its team is a salon ahead of the game understanding the client’s needs and a strong ability to communicate and help solve colour queries with confidence.
